Meadowland Beagles

Temperament, Soundness and Quality

Meadowland Beagles

At Meadowland, we only sell our puppies to screened, loving and responsible homes. For that purpose we have contracts for both our show and pet puppies--I charge the same for show and pet puppies, although I sometimes manage show prospects on a co-ownership basis. We use waiting lists for both as well.

We temperament test at seven weeks, and work to fit the right puppy to the right family environment. Puppies do not leave our premises before eight weeks. By then they have had their first DALPP and Bordatella vaccinations, and have been de-wormed. I do not officially inform the waiting list that I have puppies until they are three weeks old (which means they have a good survival rate).

Puppies are a big responsibility that lasts for thirteen-seventeen years, so if you think I am sound a little strict, you are probably right! I want both my dogs and my placement families to be happy.

My beagle puppies are whelped indoors where I can see everything that is going on. The pups are petted, handled, and talked to from Day One. Later they have playtime in my large, supervised kitchen, where they socialize with both people and dogs. They have heard all the environmental sounds of a home and have already learned some of their manners--the rest is up to you, although am always only a phone call or E-mail away.

Most of all, we give our dogs at Meadowlands love and praise.

If you're interested in one of our dogs, please fill out the form--it'll come straight to me!
