Temperament, Soundness and Quality

Meadowland Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

little crownMy Cavaliers are bred from show-quality dogs; show homes receive priority on my waiting list. The price (currently $2500) doesn't differ between show and pet Cavaliers, however--only the contract. Pet Homes are expected to spay or neuter their puppies. Obviously I can't promise any given litter will hold the right number of girls and boys for those who want a specific sex (as for color, my current dogs are blenheim). Puppies are ready to leave Meadowland at about 10-12 weeks of age.

Cavaliers are known to be susceptible to heart murmurs, but my line is "heart clear" through the grandparents. My dogs are also screened for patella and eye issues.

The Cavalier is a loving little dog, bred to sit in the laps of royalty. Their sweet temperaments and wagging tails tell the story; harsh handling or scolding is not appropriate for this precious breed. They live from 10-15 years, giving their families plenty of time for love. However, should you need to relinquish or dog for any reason, Meadowland requires that you return him or her to be placed in a good home. No monies are refunded under these circumstances (see sample contract).

If you have researched Cavaliers and read the information on this site and still feel this is the breed for you, please fill out the form below, and I'll be in touch. If it seems as though you might be right for one of my puppies, I'll do a further screening, and would like to meet with you.
